This month has been incredibly productive and rewarding for SEAD Artists as we participated in and were featured in several exciting events across the globe. Here's a look at what we've been up to:
1. Harper Adams University Paludiculture Conference
We had the pleasure of presenting our work at the Paludiculture Conference at Harper Adams University. It was a fantastic opportunity to share our projects and connect with other experts in the field. One of the highlights was listening to Dr. Julia Casperd's insightful talk about the opportunities in lowland peat. A huge thank you to the organizers for putting together such a valuable event!
2. COMIT2Drones (C2D) Event at PwC HQ, London
Next, we attended the COMIT2Drones event at PwC HQ in London, which had a great turnout. The energy and interest in the potential applications of drones were palpable, and it was exciting to engage with so many like-minded professionals pushing the boundaries of drone technology.
3. SAADEF Drone and AI Expo in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
We were honoured to be part of the SAADEF Drone and AI Expo, sponsored by the Ministry of Water, Environment, and Agriculture. It was an incredible platform for discussions about drone applications in rural environments. We had particularly promising conversations with the NCVC (National Centre for Vegetation Cover), exploring how drones can support rural sustainability and environmental management.
4. Featured in the "Drones in Action" Report
SEAD Artists was featured in the latest "Drones in Action" report published by ARPAS-UK. This comprehensive report showcases a collection of diverse drone use cases across multiple sectors. We are thrilled to be included and extend our gratitude to the team at ARPAS-UK for this fantastic recognition. If you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, we highly recommend checking it out!
5. iAero Yeovil Drone Conference
We participated in the iAero Yeovil Drone Conference, organized by Somerset Council. This event brought together key players from the UK's second-largest aerospace hub, and we engaged with organisations such as Leonardo and EiBC Consulting to explore exciting opportunities. It was a fantastic event with a wonderful turnout.
A big thankyou to Corrine Matthews for organising the event with the support of Graham Brown at ARPAS-UK. We look forward to coming to the next South Western drone event!
Coming Up Next
We’re gearing up for the DEFRA Workshop: "Building Opportunities for Our Lowland Peat Landscapes", which will take place on November 25th-26th in Stone, Staffordshire. This free event is set to provide further insights into lowland peat restoration and innovation. We hope to see you there!
Finally, stay tuned for our next recap as we have big news to announce!
Thank you for following our journey as we continue to champion sustainable solutions and innovative technologies!
